The 12^th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa

The 12^th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa, Pema Donyo Nyingche Wangpo, was born in the male wood-horse year (1954) in the Palyul District of Derge to a family of farmers. He was found and recognized by H.H the sixteenth Karmapa Rigpe Dorje.

The 12^th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa is a renowned Buddhist master. He is the main Guru of H.H. the 17^th Karmapa, Orgyen Trinlay Dorje in Mahamudra and training in turn the next generation of Buddhist masters. On a more personal level the 12^th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa is a scholar, poet, calligrapher, artist, author, architect and geomancer.

As a Buddhist teacher, he regularly tours the world giving teachings and empowerments at the request of the Dharma centers. These teachings are collected and published to nine books till now.

The 12^th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa’s paintings are collected and published to four books till now. They are: Matition Art, Creativity: Magnification Images Will Be Born, Awakening: Meditation Art of the 12^th Tai Situpa, Relative World, Ultimate Mind: The Art of the 12^th Tai Situpa.
And, a collective book of the 12^th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa’s photographs, Eye of the Eye, was published in 2000 in Taiwan

Most of these art works and the 12^th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa’s calligraphies were assembled to the book “Collection of the Creative Art Works of XII Tai Situpa” in 2004 in Taiwan.

and the teaching is open to anyone who is interested in the Dharma.

The teaching venue is at Zmar Eco Experience which is located on 81 hectares of land near Odemira on the Alentejo coast of western Portugal.
All bungalos houses are fully equipped with modern lodging and is known for its ecological awareness.
The Zmar team will support the teaching with full-heartedly taking care of our daily needs.

How to get there

Flying to Portugal

You can fly into either Faro or Lisbon airports. We suggest you arrange your flight so it arrives on the 15^th of July afternoon (before 8 pm), and departs after lunch on the 21^st July.

From Lisbon airport to Zmar by car: 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Faro Airport to Zmar by car: 2 hours.

Shuttle from Lisbon airport to Zmar :

– Departure of the shuttle from Lisbon airport to Zmar at 2 pm on the 15^th
– Departure of the shuttle from Zmar to Lisbon airport at 2 pm on the 21^st

Schedule

The welcoming participants and check-in begins on 15^th July afternoon till 8pm.

The teaching starts on 16^th July morning and ends on 21^st July at noon:

21^th July: Guru Vajradhara will bestow the Chenrezig empowerment.

The check out will take place at 2 pm after your lunch.

Shared Expenses

€90 per person (for the 6 days of teachings)

The teaching is free of charges but we charge only for the shared expenses (flight tickets, accommodation, transportation, tent, materials etc.). To make this teaching available for most of people we have set up the minimum fees and therefore we cannot apply reduction. We will send you the link for the payment along with the registration confirmation email.

Note: Anyone willing to offer more for the share expenses is welcome to contact us.

You can come with your family even if they don’t attend the teachings. The price for the accommodation is same for the adult.
The fees for children are:

Children up to the age of 3 are Free of charges for both accommodation and Food & Breakfast
Children from the age of 4 to 12 pay a €300 surcharge (for accommodation and Food & Breakfast ). Children will only be allowed in Private Houses T1 ECO (Cat A).
No pets are allowed.
